Iranian Date syrup: Characteristics
Date syrup is a natural sweetener made by extracting, filtering, concentrating, and pasteurizing the syrup derived from dates. It has a rich, caramel-like. Unlike honey or maple syrup, date syrup retains some of the beneficial nutrients and antioxidants from dates, making it a slightly healthier alternative. In addition, because of its moisture content, unlike honey, it can be cooked and used in food and sweet recipes.
